Photokina is coming soom. Canon announced new models and Nikon
announced the D80. Is the Panasonic FZ7 due to be replace around
Photokina time or is this model going to go for another year. Anybody
read anything about it.

Panasonic has already announced for the fall, so I don't expect the FZ7 to
be replaced. No problems, since it's a really nice cam.

I have no inside info, this is just a guess.

Panasonic, for the last couple of years, has announced its
FZ-single-digit models in the mid winter, and the two-digit models in
the summer.

So, look for an "FZ8" or whatever in early March or thereabouts.
