I

got mine for $499 from B&H, and for that price I can't complain. It is
well made, with a solid finish, and does all I expect of it. Fujifilm
makes good lenses.

I'd consider a Fuji camera if they put IBIS into the bodies, created
bodies with a decent grip and (at least) 24MP. This new X Pro 2 has a
useless optical viewfinder and is very expensive. Fuji could have
designed a more ergonomic camera, rather than sticking to a rangefinder
design.

That's totally irrelevant. They found plastic inside the lens.

There was a reason Fuji went down that road. They are selling all the
X-T1, X-T10, cameras they can build with 16 MP sensors, and there is a
waiting list for the 24MP X-Pro2. All those folks buying Fuji cameras
don't seem to have the same issues. As for the Hybrid EVF/OVF, the
X-Pro1 had one, so it made sense for those who wanted to see
fundamental design retained in the X-Pro2. The new 24MP X-Trans III
sensor and CPU will arrive in the new generations of X-Series cameras
soon enough.

Regarding the grip. The idea of the Fuji concept is to go smaller. If
you want a larger grip, you can add one.

Fuji could have designed a more ergonomic camera, rather than sticking
to a rangefinder
design.

They could have, but more ergonomic for who?
They have a winning formula now.
BTW: Have you even handled, or tried any of the X-Series cameras?

Well, OK then. Might I ask which ones.

The ones in the shop, can't remember the exact model. Enough to figure
out that a decent grip was missing.
