Default cheap medium format cameras from the 30s to 70s

Hi,
I am looking for some old medium formats for a scultpture. Does anyone know
where I could find them for cheap (in the 10 to 20 range)?

EBAY! Look in the Photographic "Lots" category. Lotsa crap there. And also
search for "broken cameras". I think there's a pile of broken folders on
ebay at this time.

There are three problems with this idea.

(1) You may get something cheap that shouldn't have been cheap, and destroy
something of value in making your sculpture.

(2) Creating "art" by ripping off and abusing the artistic and aesthetic
value of existing objects is the height of intellectual and artistic
laziness.

(3) Even a ten dollar camera is of more value than such intellectually and
artistically vacuous "art". Someone could repair said camera and use it to
create some real art.

I submit that melting down statues to make cameras would be a far better
thing to do.

Gawd, it's not like there aren't a million of them still in circulation. I
mean we ain't talking about the Libraries of Alexandria.

Easy for you to say. Isn't most Japanese sculpture made of dirt or wood?
But okay, lets start with that big lady standing on Liberty Island, then
the Amazon in the White House media room, then that cracked bell...

oh he is just joking. Probably just jealous that someone is putting a dead
camera to better use than he does a working camera :-)
