If you over expose deliberately it's sometimes called high key :-)

With an otherwise nominally exposed photo you can mix to this effect in
photoshop (drive the pale tones white; drive the apple to deep red).

For the record, I washed out the images in camera raw by *severely* boosting the exposure, "vibrance", and "blacks" sliders.

The original images looked like this:

Which I would call hi-key in the typical sense, and not overexposed since you can see detail pretty much everywhere in the
picture =)
