Sad news.

You know, I can't get sad about such a passing. 95 is a damn good
innings for anyone, and I know that if I had half his talent, or could
make half as much impact on the world as HCB, I wouldn't mind if I
only lived half as long as he did. But to be have such a life -
making a living out of your passion - for so long, and so well, I have
to smile and say, well done, and thankyou.

So there it is. Well done, and thank you, Henri Cartier-Bresson.

Cheers,
Steve

I love him.

snip

It's almost as
if they want someone who doesn't know him and read the article to think "Oh,
the Duke and Duchess of Windsor sat for him; he must've been good then!". Argh.
I hate this dumbification of mass culture!

Who cares what anyone writes about him? This is the important stuff:

www.photology.com/bresson/

Enjoy.

Cheers,
Steve

What camera did he use?
He used a 50 mm most of the time. What else did he use?

I think he famously used a Leica.

Some say, he used the Leica since it was invented, only with a 50mm
lens. Nothing else...
