Suspicious, as the replies say.

Any chance you can tone down your titles?

Sure. That image shocked me though. I've never seen anything that bad.

You should have a look at the Oly magazine adverts, shows how bad the Olys
get.

Help! I dropped my 10D in a sewage lagoon on a pig farm and now all my
images stink!
Do I need to clean my sensor (visible dust did not answer my Email plea)?

Regards.
Ken.

If the images are real, it looks like someone cleaned his mirror with a lens
cloth. Even an Oly can't prevent stupidity. Believe me, I know.... :-(

How does cleaning the mirror (or not) affect the captured image?

It doesn't. But dust there can migrate to the sensor, and then it may
show up.

Not saying that I would ever do anything so abysmally stupid, but if you use
one of those lens cleaning cloths that you buy in camera stores, they will
fill your whole light box with lint. It is next to impossible to get it all
out. Took me months.
