I'd be a bit wary about the new D40 and D40x if I were you. The camera house
does not have a built-in autofocus motor, so that you can only get autofocus with the relative handful of Nikon lenses that have their very own built-in focusing motors.

I think that's what he was referring to, since he said "Nikon lenses," not "Nikon mount lenses." Exactly and counting as more and more are released. Canon employ this strategy and nobody bats an eyelid ! The D40 is a GREAT camera and winning awards left, right & centre. If you have a collection of old Nikon lenses I agree this could be an issue but for a new DSLR owner no big deal whatsoever
