What do people use to make 16 x 20" digital prints

Send the file to a professional lab to make a print ... AND it will last
better than a home made one.

There are printers that can go wider, but you will not find them at one
of those stores, they are specialty items (read expensive). Unless you
do a lot of big prints, your better to use a digital capable lab, to do
that big print. You also need to balance the cost, ink is expensive,
photo inkjet paper is expensive, at what point does the cost of ink and
paper exceed that of using a lab?

Here, here. Life is too short to **** about trying to emulate a proper
print lab in your spare room. And which idiot buys an A3 printer for half a
dozen prints per year. OK, form a queue..

yea, but these regular photographic prints don't last when compared to
pigmented inkjets like the Epson 7600 & 9600

Yeah right, and the 7600 / 9600 have been around like 200 years to
judge real world results? They claimed humongous lifetimes for their
Epson 2000 but in many circumstances it produced prints which faded
faster than Epson 1270 prints. And the 10+ year life they claimed for
870 / 1270 prints? Remember the chaos when peoples' prints started
fading in weeks? And people still believe tall claims by Epson / Canon
etc? Good going folks.
