I guess you missed the DXO evaluation of the sensor in the new 1Dx
camera. It scored higher than the sensor in the D5. Same numerical
score, slightly higher individual numbers. Canon is back.

a few days ago...


Shame on you.

and the press photographers all had Cannon DSLRs.
OK, just a tiny sample ...but I made a mental note of it.

Back? It was never gone. Nitpickers and other ignoramuses will nitpick,
but there are a number of very fine DSLR brands on the market, with
Canon the most popular, at least among professionals.


canon and nikon have been leapfrogging each other for years.

with the introduction of the nikon d3, nikon was *well* ahead of canon.
maybe that will swing back or maybe it won't. nikon isn't sitting
still.

either way, you can't go wrong.
