How profound. I can see why Oxford gave you that Doctor of Philosophy degree.

Who is this Oxford guy of which you speak?
I went to Syracuse.

Naah! The one who hung out Syracuse was Archimedes.

If you know UpState NY there are a string of cities along the course of
the Erie, now NY State Barge Canal with roots from antiquity. Names
such as Troy, Ilion, Utica, Rome, Corinth, Syracuse, Cicero, Ithaca,
Pompey, and a few others. That was the territory of my misspent youth.

I went to Yale. Never took a class there, and I have no degree from
Yale, but I did buy something in the Bookstore.

You must know the old joke about Greek pants. A guy brings a pair of
torn pants into a Greek tailor to be repaired. He asks the tailor:
Eumenides? The tailor replies: Yes, Euripides?

Regarding names, Maine has several European named small towns.

I once had great difficulty in getting a satisfactory pair of trousers
made by a French tailor in a city whose name I can't remember. It was
either Toulon or Tolouse.

You "went to" New Haven. You walked the campus. You came, you saw, you
bought.

I have a yale lock on my front door.

It should keep Yalies out!

The first time that I was intimate with a girl, my breath came in short
