As far as I can see, there is no 'watermark' on either of Tony's images.

I don't do that with any photograph. I take photographs because I
enjoy doing it, not for the recognition. Anyone who wants to use,
steal, or in any way appropriate one of my images is quite welcome to
do so.

You're a '*Bonza Bloke*', Tony. :-D

That entirely MY view too!

Thanks.

Why on Earth would you cross post to either of those NGs?

Especially alt.computer.workshop where you seem to be fully engaged in a
flame war which is going to lead unwelcome traffic to rec.photo.digital.

Please think before you add an NG cross post to an OP.

Cross posts removed.

Photographer Spends Eternity Waiting For Museum Visitors To Match
Artworks And The Result Is Worth The Wait.

Most of us were bored at some museum at least once in our lives - except
this guy! France-based photographer Stefan Draschan always keeps himself
entertained at art galleries by creating his own art projects.
One of those projects is “People matching artworks”. Although at first
Draschan’s images seem perfectly staged, the secret behind them is
actually patience.

The photographer enjoys visiting different museums mostly in Paris,
Vienna and Berlin where he waits for visitors to suddenly match with a
piece of art in a funny way. The result is these humorous and unique
pictures of unexpected harmony between people and the artworks they’re
facing. It’s usually the outfits that match the art, but there are also
people who match with the paintings because of their hair styles and
colors, or even beards.

https://www.boredpanda.com/people-ma...efan-draschan/

We had a glorious example of this kind of thing in this news group
years ago. Somebody posted an image of a store window containing a
large poster, with somebody who closely matched the person in the
poster marching by on the foot path with a closely matching expression
on his face. I remember how I laughed hilariously each time I saw it.

I believe that was a Tony Cooper image.

Try as I might, I could not remember whose it was.

I only hope Tony still has it.

Could be this one:

https://photos.smugmug.com/Candids/i...2-12-07-21.jpg

https://photos.smugmug.com/Candids/i...2-12-07-09.jpg

I did two different crops, and still don't know which I like better.

I prefer the first one! :-) Great Capture.

Do you own the 'copyright' to the images, Tony?

Of course. As the photographer, and not have taken it under a "for
hire" arrangement, I automatically own the copyright. Not that it
concerns me.

That's as I've always undersood matters.

Some time ago the owner of an auto salvage yard emailed me with an
apology for using one of my photographs of a old car on his web page
without attribution. Dunno where he found it to use. He offered to
pay me for the use or to take it down.

I replied and told him to continue to use the photograph and not to
add attribution, and that I had no interest in compensation.

The knowledge that someone likes one of my photographs enough to use
it is reward enough for me.

As I've already said, you're a '*Bonza Bloke*', Tony! :-D

The only thing I *don't* like - and SavageDuck will know this - is
someone taking one of my photographs and "improving" it. It's my
vision, right or wrong.

I most certainly understand that!!! ;-)

a scant few might, but nowhere near as many who think you're an
ignorant ****, one who repeatedly posts off topic garbage that's
crossposted to irrelevant groups and often with links to spam sites. in
other words, just about everyone who has had the unfortunate experience
of reading your idiotic posts thinks you're a blithering idiot and a
troll.

why in hell did you add alt.music.prayforthesoulofbetty for this
sub-thread?? seriously, wtf?? the *only* reason someone would do that
is to troll. there is no other explanation.

over in the eternal-september groups, you are currently being slammed
big time and it's not the first time either.

No, I'm not at ALL like you!
