NG Abuse / SPAM (part II)

To AOL.

Your memeber, (DColucci) continues his abusive
behavior in our news group. He repeatedly spams our group as the
following google groups collection shows:
http://tinyurl.com/4wz77

(See also header below).

This is done under the guise of participation and giving a
helping hand, however he never contributes to the group, but does
(as the link above testifies) often post his advertisements to
our newsgroup.

It is purely an effort at advertisement, and cynically so as many
of the links at his site are clickthroughs to Amazon purely meant
to give him clickthrough revenue.

This is in violation of our charter, a copy of which is at:
http://bobatkins.photo.net/info/charter.htm and which clearly states:
“rec.photo.equipment.35mm - 35mm cameras and lenses

This group is for the discussion of all aspects of 35mm camera
equipment. This includes 35mm SLR camera bodies and lenses, 35mm
point-and-shoot cameras, 35mm rangefinder cameras, 35mm scale
focus cameras and 35mm half-frame cameras.

All postings made to this group should conform to existing Usenet
guidelines (see news.announce.newusers for guideline documents).
This group explicitly prohibits the posting of commercial
advertisements or other promotional material, whether or not it
is in any way related to photography. Binary postings (i.e. non
text postings) are prohibited.”

He has been warned repeatedly. His reply is to insult those who
warn him (see below).

As a further indication of his cynical attitude his own return
e-mail address is " indicating his own
desire to not be plagued with spam!

His behavior is in violation of both the rec.photo.equipment.35mm
charter and the TOS of AOL. This fellow is not accidentally
posting spam, he is deliberately flouting the newsgroup and aol TOS.

AOL: Please enforce your own rules with respect to Mr. Colucci.
