I was wondering if the lenes from my Canon A1 SLR camera will fit into the
new Canon SLR EOS cameras.

If you grind them to dust first, then you'll be able to pour the smaller
ones in with a funnel. Make sure you get a body cap to hold them in safely.

Did you mean "lenses" instead of lenes?

If so then according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_A-1 the A1 has an
FD mount (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_FD) which is incompatible
with the EF mount that is used by the EOS system (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_EOS).

My AE-1 had a screw mount lens... I dunno, maybe that could work but
generally the answer is no.

Those adapters did exist. They were expensive 20+ years ago because they
required an optical element. And they are very hard to find nowadays..

They will not fit without an adaptor. Even with an adaptor, you have no AF
and have monkey around with meaturing and the apureture control every time
you shoot. It is much better to get EOS EF lenses.

There was an adapter made by Canon that would only work with telephoto
lenses, very rare and pricey. Adorama has sold an adapter in the past,
but it was so cheap, $40, that I wouldn't think the results would be
that good. Canon just abandoned the FD mount ineffect totally. I'm
happier with the Nikon lenses I have purchased anyway.

If they're FD lenses, they won't.
