Sorry if they won't fit perfectly into your frames. Tell me what size you need and I'll send you a different version. Maybe you can sell em at your booth this weekend? |

Here is an actual size crop from the original with no sharpening, noise reduction, or post-processing applied. http://www.pbase.com/image/62289070 So whatever you are seeing must have come from me in Post rather than from the sensor of the 20D. |

There are some interesting comparisons between 1dsmkII images and 4x5 film he http://www.luminous-landscape.com/columns/1Ds-4x5.shtml Also some great images of the Grand Canyon taken with this digital camera...... |

I see quite a bit of color noise in that 100% crop. Maybe it's time to hit the optical warehouse? It's not a big deal, and likely wouldn't be very significant in a print...but it's definitely there. -- Images (Plus Snaps & Grabs) by MarkČ at: www.pbase.com/markuson |

Your eyes must be better than mine. May be, but it just doesn't seem to have the smoothness that the rest of the pics usually have. He got lazy Dallas... Either that or the blur tool in Photoshop stopped working! Didn't you know Dallas? All 20D /30D cameras produce noise in the area of the image under exposed? True. 5d's don't but 20D/30D sure does... Even at 100 ISO, too! -- From Douglas... My photographic site: http://www.douglasjames.com.au Canvas Archival and Metallic Prints: http://www.canvasphotos.com.au |

Go easy Mark, he's very sensitive about his images, you'll destroy his day if you get critical. What would anyone do with 2"x3" print anyway? He's cropped it so far, that's all it would make without my magic interpolation routine which he doesn't have! -- From Douglas... Dmac, the only interpolation routine I've seen of yours that works is the one that you use on your ego and your perceived abilities as a photographer. You are pretty good at talking the talk, I'll give you that. Producing verifiable results is a different matter. "All hat and no cattle," as they say in Texas. As for the miniscule amount of color noise that PW mentioned, that is easily swept away in Camera RAW. Things really can get messy at 3200 ISO, however, but the results are still 100x better than film at equivalent ISOs. |
