Default what happened to hasselblaud

just out of "curiousity", i googled hasselblaud and came up with
virtually NOTHING. one page of about 6 results with nothing but the
vaguest reference to the camera. no website, no nothing.

what has happened to hasselblaud? didn't they "get with the digital
age", or not?

Why don't you try "HASSELBLAD" instead? They have recently taken over
Imacon, and when I rang Imacon in Denmark (by mistake, silly me), the
receptionist replied "Hasselblad"!! Hassy might survive... which would
be a good thing.

Try again with the correct spelling of Hasselblad. When I do, I get 969,000
returns.

Makes a difference, I guess.

Yep. Apparently Hasselblaud, Leika and Nicon went out of business over
night.

Didn't I read that Hasselblad was bought by a company in the Far East, about
a year or two ago? While I believe they are still operating in Sweden,
their ownership has changed hands.

Jeremy,

I believe you are correct:~)

May also be the reason all those H series lenses are made by that far
eastern company.

I believe only the V series of bodies and lenses are made in Europe and
their division headquarters is still in Sweden.
