Default Marty Forscher, Tended Cameras and Owners, Dies at 87

From today's (11 Oct 2009) New York Times:

Marty Forscher, whose intimate knowledge of the anatomy and
physiology of the camera — and of the myriad ways in which
photographers can unsettle them — made him for decades the most
sought-after camera repairman in the country ... For more than 40
years, Mr. Forscher ran Professional Camera Repair Service in
Midtown Manhattan.

I remember his monthly series in one of the photo rags, "Marty Forscher's
Tales of Daring and Adventure." Some bizzare fixes and camera mods were the
norm for him.
