Photo or print? you can't tell the difference. Being a photographer for longer that I care to remember and having my own darkroom Etc... I am now totally over to digital and my RZ67 sits silently. |

If you get yourself an Epson 4870, your RZ67 will knock your socks off. (Scan at 4800 ppi, sharpen lightly, downsample to 2400 ppi, Photoshop to taste, and print 13x19s at 340 ppi.) David J. For 16x20, your best bet is the Epson 4000. Most printers only go to 13x19.
I was leaning towards the 4000, but found a deal for $2400 shipped on the Epson 7600 (24x36----actually 24x"whatever" since it supports rolls). Went with 7600. Amazing printer. ... From: Out of all available which is the most popular for doing up to 16x20 prints? There are three excellent consumer grade models that print up to 13x19" but don't make it to 16x20. The Epson 1280, Epson 2200 and whatever the current Canon 9000 models is called (i9100?) do quite nicely. You can print longer on the Epsons with roll paper but these are limited to 13" wide. For 16x20's you're moving up to a more expensive Pro model, something like the hard-to-find Epson 4000 (17x22") or the Epson 7600 (24" wide roll paper). Canon is up to the i9900, now. -- Skip Middleton http://www.shadowcatcherimagery.com |
