Feeling old..
I was walking around this weekend in lower Manhattan when I spied
a young woman with a Miranda 35mm Camera. I asked her about it and she said it belonged to to her grandfather! And I just got rid of one last year... -- Robert D Feinman Landscapes, Cityscapes and Panoramic Photographs http://robertdfeinman.com mail: |

In my experience, once doesn't feel old until one _is_ old. :- -- Philip Stripling | email to the replyto address is presumed Legal Assistance on the Web | spam and read later. email to philip@ http://www.PhilipStripling.com/ | my domain is read daily. |

And I just got rid of one last year... My first SLR was a Miranda. Bought new in 1969. Does that mean I'm old, too? (Turning 50 this month, actually). I haven't had mine in ages, though; I swapped it for a Pentax after 3 or 4 years. That was after I'd added the Leica M3, so quick lens change wasn't as important on the SLR, I mostly used that for extremes -- wide, long, closeup. All long gone now. -- David Dyer-Bennet, , http://www.dd-b.net/dd-b/ RKBA: http://noguns-nomoney.com/ http://www.dd-b.net/carry/ Pics: http://dd-b.lighthunters.net/ http://www.dd-b.net/dd-b/SnapshotAlbum/ Dragaera/Steven Brust: http://dragaera.info/ |

That's not B.S. I was 19 when my daughter was born, and she was 17 when she had her first. So, that changes the perspective a bit. Her grandfather could be 53... |

They're now pieces (same models) in the Smithsonian. Yes, Museum of American History. You wanna talk old? Pull up a chair, join me for a Cuban, and I'll pour us a shot of Glenmorangie (18 years old, of course). -- Robert D Feinman Landscapes, Cityscapes and Panoramic Photographs http://robertdfeinman.com mail: |

Of course, we could quote that Americans think 100 years is a long time and the English that 100 miles is a long way. ;-) -- http://www.petezilla.co.uk |

Time for some Bowmore and don't ruin it with a cigar ... it's smokey enough on its own. -- -- rec.photo.equipment.35mm user resource: -- http://www.aliasimages.com/rpe35mmur.htm -- e-meil: there's no such thing as a FreeLunch.-- |
