Canon DSLR to Laptop viewing.
"Bob AZ" wrote in message ... I would like to view my DSLR images as I take them on my laptop. Particularly when I am photographing a musical event where keeping track of how the exposures are going is important. I have the necessary camera USB to laptop USB cable but am not aware of what if any application should be running on the laptop. Thanks for any input. Bob AZ Lightroom 3 will do it, as well as the software that came with your camera. |

I gave up. It was far easier to chimp it than try to shoot with all that muck hanging off it. I have not tried the wireless adapter. I would have to pay silly money or borrow one, but I don't know anyone that rich and silly. In any case, its main use would be letting the client see what he's paying for. And he'd have to be paying heaps so you could afford to waste that much loot on toys instead of good glass. For exposure checks, chimping the histogram on the camera screen would be far more convenient. If you were wanting to check focus with extreme care you might get some benefit from pixel peeping on your computer, as long as you are prepared to wait quite a few seconds between shot attempts. -- To de-mung my e-mail address:- fsnospam$elliott$$ PGP Fingerprint: 1A96 3CF7 637F 896B C810 E199 7E5C A9E4 8E59 E248 |

And the version that came with my camera works under Wine (in linux), whereas the latest version crashes badly. As it happens, I do have a virtualbox xp for Trados, so I can use the new version on there if need be. -- Pablo http://www.flickr.com/photos/wibbleypants/ http://paulc.es/piso/index.php |
