Great shot, Jim. Enjoying the 10D?

Thanks. Yes, I am enjoying the 10D, but it makes me lust after better
glass, much more expensive glass.

Jim Kramer

This is why I decided to go back to Nikon. Good Canon glass is very
expensive. Good Nikon glass is plentiful (and cheap).

So how much is the Nikon 100-400mm F/2.8 VR AF lens?

Yeah, I thought so.

Dunno. I wouldn't buy the Canon one again, though.

Yeah, I thought so.

A suitably predictable answer.

So was your snipping.

"This is why I decided to go back to Nikon. Good Canon glass is very

Where is the in-expensive Nikon glass in this range? I know Canon's glass
isn't cheap in this range, and neither is Nikon's.

I'm happy for you, that you can get what you want at a price you like, but I
want more than what old glass is ever going to offer.

But really; if I want to get excited about using short, manual focus, used,
cheap, wide open, lenses; I'll keep your recommendation in mind. I may even
use you as a role model.

Jim
