The *fact* is that the Information Age started in 1949
when Shannon proved mathematically that digital was
better than analog for communications. That is, for
audio, video, telephony, *and photography*.

In the time since Shannon's work virtually all work in
those areas has concentrated on digital, and not for any
accidental reason having to do with group dynamics in
the market place.

You missed the point: the market place is *not* wrong,
and is an indicator not the cause.

The insane twist the facts to fit their world view.
The rational change their world view to fit the facts.

And the stupid wish to remain ignorant by ignoring what
others say.
