Waterproof camera for $50 for River Rafting?
What is a good used/new $50 waterproof camera?
I will be going river rafting in July with a group and want to get a camera that can survive being dropped in the water and/or being shot at by an oversized water canon. A quick search on eBay found the Canon SureShot WP-1, Canon AS-6, and a Aqua Vu 35mm. Will these sell for under $50 and are any of them recommened? Do camera shops (I live in Sacramento, CA) rent waterproof cameras? Current cameras: Rebel Digital, Maxxum 8000i, Minolta SR-7, Yashica J-5. Thank you for your time. Replies will default to my Yahoo e-mail account. -- Kevin Heider e-mail: (first intitial of first name)p(last name) at attbi.com |

Not a bad solution ($11.84 after tax) for a one day outting in the water. Besides now I can have fun without babysitting an expensive camera. I only go out on the American River in Sacramento, CA once or twice a year. I might also pick-up a waterproof Aqua-Vu 35 (reloadable and has a flash) for around $30. Thanks for the advice. -- Kevin Heider e-mail: (first intitial of first name)p(last name) at attbi.com |

They are excellent for taking pictures of groups of people, but landscapes near infinity will be out of focus. I might also pick-up a waterproof Aqua-Vu 35 (reloadable and has a flash) for around $30. I don't know that one! |
