I found Jim Kramer's shot interesting. I remember the first time that
I travelled to the midwest. I remember seeing traffic lights mounted
on wires like that. In southern California, the lights are all
mounted on poles. I remember wondering how much those things would
swing around in the middle of a storm.

Ken Nadvornick's shot was interesting to me because I remember
visiting that tiny chapel. Hmmm, I think that if I lived in
Washington I might have driven to Rockport to take a picture of
tourists using the self-kicking machine. That could have fit the
mandate quite nicely as well. I have an shot of that taken with point
and shoot digital. I suppose that I could have dug that up, but
imagine the outrage at an archived picture that wasn't even taken with
a SLR! I was in Yosemite last week and attempted a couple of crowd
shots for this mandate. I wasn't particularly pleased with them, but
still might have submitted something except for the fact that I got
back too late for the deadlime.

I wonder what impact the distortion of Matt Clara's shot has for most
people. Do you think that it adds a sense of proportion that a
"corrected" perspective wouldn't?
