Default Online Photo Albums

I have read MANY, MANY reviews here and elsewhere and visited MANY
album sites.

With one I had to agree that I was giving them "all rights" to my pix.
Yeah, like hell I will.

Anyhow I uploaded the identical six pix to four sites.

All had almost identical upload time which is impossible to really
judge anyhow.
Traffic on the net is hard to factor in.

Anyhow one is already out of the running.

That leaves the three below.

Perhaps you all can judge for yourself and post comments here.

All allow you to link directly to one specific photo out of an album
if you wish.

All seemed to allow thumb nails [a/k/a index].

All allow different levels of access privs.

Please try the links below SOON as I will not be leaving these test
albums up more the a couple of days.

If you chose smugmug you can save $5 on a smugmug
subscription, if you enter coupon "jyt6FA46W3kDo" in
the 'Referred by' field on the signup form. Of course we
both gain.

Lastly my email addy is no good, reply here.

Ray,

Thanks for the test sites.

I like Imagestation. However uploading was a problem for me. The
site indicates unlimited pictures and help suggests "drag and drop"
upload but the only interface I found was to name the files one by one
with a limit of 36 per upload. This will take forever.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Frank

Any ideas? Thanks!

www.dotphoto.com. Free to upload. Multiple albmus. Upto 1GB of space
(although I've been over that a couple times without complaints), and
you can set your own prices to make money off your pics.

Their print quality had been a little below "professional quality" in
the past (but as good as your typical 1-hour lab) but the last couple of
orders seemed to be a lot better. Don't know if it's new equipment or
new employees, but there's definitely been an improvement. I think
they're perfect for amateur, and even some professional use, in my
oppinion.
