Landscape shooter's current ultra wide-angle fetish limitingcreativity, or just a crutch?

You need dramatic ( distorted) looking shot? Slap an ultra wide angle on and have at it. Tilt the lens while shooting, it gets even more "dramatic." But I wonder if better images might sometimes be produced if they concentrated on one element in such frames instead of having everything in them? We are moving in the direction of total automation. Send your self-driving car equipped with Google-Street-View type cameras to do all the photography and post the images straight to the cloud and you don't even need to look at them! -- -- ^^^^^^^^^^ -- Whiskers -- ~~~~~~~~~~ |
