Wow! That Canon T90 is amazing!

Uh-oh! Brette's hardware fetish has attached itself to a 20 year old
TOTALLY-NON-DIGITAL! camera. "Trouble Brewing!"
(Have you ever shot a T90?)

Nice pics, Jay! Excellent!
The T-90 'Tank' crushes puny digicams like roaches underfoot!

-Greg (Another 'hybrid' C-FD shooter from Az.)

Hi Greg...

Somewhere in my dusty stash, I have an original marketing brochure for the
T90. Most of the photos of the camera are simply silouettes of the body.
It's an EOS. It was/is an EOS long before there were any EOSes.

The multi-point meter is simply a manual version of matrix metering (you can
average nine different exposure zones in one scene.) It has exposure comp.
It can rip off 4.5fps continuous (with no buffer to worry about...Ok so it's
limited to a max of 36 frames.) It has a marvelous spot meter (a tight
tastey 3% of the frame.) It has the same "safety shift" function. All of
this on four little AA batteries available world-wide. The only kick in the
head is the FD/EF thing. If only I could use EF lenses...(*sigh*) I don't
even care about auto focus...

It took a while to accept the 'modern,' 'plastic' look of the thing.
Then I was able to use one for a day and all doubt was gone. Bought one
as soon as I could scrape together the $ for a slightly used model.

I know, I've got one!

Yea, the EF/FD 'thing' is a bit of a ****er. I've been hoping that one
of these vaporware companies will follow through and actually sell a
'digital film' insert. Alternately, Canon or someone else (lawyers
permitting) could make a DSLR that works with FD glass. Good luck on
either happening.... Well, film still works, very well, and I'm content
for the time being shooting and scanning. One or two rolls a month is
neither terribly expensive, nor a huge time sink.

Saw your very nice PB photos of Montezuma's Well. I've been up to the
'castle' a few times, but somehow never heard of the 'well.' If we get
some snow this weekend, a road trip may be in order.
