Default What camera needed for 50 mb files?

I realize this should be on the digital newsgroup, but that site always bogs
down my system.

Anyway, do only the very high end cameras produce files of this size?
That's the minimum a stock agency I work with requests. Thanks.

I wish someone would hit these agencies with a clue-stick when they ask for
an image size in megabytes. It sounds like they want a 16 megapixel image.
The Canon 1Ds Mk II will do that, and the new Mamiya digital medium format
camera will also do it.

Tell them to stuff it. Work with Glauber, Knarr & Holcombe, out of
Barcelona. They pay much more than what you're getting now.

Use a film camera to shoot slides and scan the slides.

Use a 2 Megapixel digicam, convert to slide format, scan slide, Import
to PS. add some layers, and boom! 200 Megapixels. No problem.

As pointed out before, the digital output from a high end DSLR usually
more than meets minimums for good end product. The intermediary here
seems the problem.

They're deluding themselves. Shoot with any suitable camera, and resample
upward.

They also must not know about data compression.

I presume they mean a 50 MB uncompressed TIF. That's about 16 megapixels.
