Olympus SP-550/560 Comments?

Any comments on either of these 2 cameras? Internet review are mixed
and wondered if anybody actually has either one and how it compares to
other ultra zoom cameras.

I have the 550 and it takes very good (non-action) pictures. The macro is
particularly good. However I have never been satisfied with the focus
speed, and I wouldn't buy another one... well, not unless it was at a
very good price.

Overall I agreed with the dpreview review. It's a fair reflection of the
camera's strengths and weaknesses IMO.

I think if I was buying a bridge camera now I'd be very tempted by the
Panasonic FZ18. I know Panasonic's sensor/processing isn't perfect, but
the overall package looks hard to beat at the moment.

Andrew McP... who isn't anti-Olympus, and if anyone would like to buy me
an E-3 I'd be very happy indeed. :-)
