How to dismantle Nikon D70?
I'd like to get access to the shutter button on a Nikon D70 and need some
assistance removing the top plate. Removing 2 screws left/right of finder, 2 screws either end, and 2 screws inside flash housing - plate seems to want to release everywhere but in the region of the shutter button. Anyone have the trick to removing the top plate completely? Thanks. |

I haven't checked on the D70, but it's not uncommon for a screw to be
located in the battery compartment facing up. Take out the battery and look inside near the contacts. You'll need a long screwdriver. Actually I had a look in there and didn't see anything. However its dark in
there, and you are right - there is a screw. Thanks. wrote in message ... I haven't checked on the D70, but it's not uncommon for a screw to be located in the battery compartment facing up.
