Kodak EasyShare Camera

I recently purchased a 4 mp Kodak Easy Share Camera/with
printer/dock..Since this camera only has 16 mb of internal memory, I
purchased a San Disk 512 SD/MMC card..My question is...do I need to
format the card before using it..and if so..can you explain that
procedure please? I am new to digital photography..

If it came with a manual, that manual should show you where in the camera's
menus you can find the formatting command.

Hi Betty,

You should not have to format the card, but it may be something you want to
do. With the card inserted, move the setup menu to find the format command.
Choose format and 'Format Card.' You can also format the Internal Memory
which again is not necessary but you know the process and be able to reset
things if you want to.
