re. Camera Mounted to a Telescope/Spotting scope
Thanks for all of your comments.
I'm not going to buy a pig-in-a-poke, though. I intend to take my camera with me to the telescope store and try to see how they work together. If they won't let and help me try it, I will pass on it. Then maybe I'll use the money to buy a differant type "toy". Dave: There goes the happy moron. He doesn't give a damn. Gee I wish I was a moron. My God, maybe I am |

My God, maybe I am Don't expect miracles if you have to shoot images through a window, it's a no-no for best telescope shots. Most good telescopes will rival the best telephoto images, or exceed them if done correctly. Thanks for the tip Dave: There goes the happy moron. He doesn't give a damn. Gee I wish I was a moron. Since I could not carry it around for over an hour, I decided not to purchase it. For a similar reason I did not purchase the Nikon 600. I fell in love with that lens, but because of its weight, would not use it very much. I could not justify the cost. -- PeterN |

The resolution and optics may be excellent but camera shake through a telescope is magnified exponentially and that is often the limiting factor. -- m-m www.mhmyers.com |
