Plastic lens/camera mounts are a filthy PLAGUE designed to speckle sensors with fine black dust.

(in ): Someone is running a thread on the Sony mirrorless full-frame group. Inevitably, the black plastic of the lens or camera mount is minutely abraded, resulting in a fine, staticky dust getting into the camera body and onto the sensor. Avoid plastic mounts if you can. Aah! Plastic rears its ugly head. -- Regards, Savageduck |
