Linhof Technika Questions
I note that Linhof Technika cameras have individual cams for each lens. Is
it truly critical that each cam have the same serial number as the lens? Does anyone make cams or adjust cams to work with mismatched cams? Any other comments regarding the cameras? For example, the earlier models - do they all have rear swing, tilt? TIA |

TIA Not critical if you use the groundglass. Absolutely critical if you use the rangefinder. If you have a V or Master the serial number must match the lens. If you have a IV or III the serial numbers must match the lens and the camera body. -- To reply no_ HPMarketing Corp. |

The patent for the original Technika filed in the 19th century was for an all metal camera with a swing back. All Technikas (except the Technika Press 45 from the 50's) have tilt and swing on the back along with a bit of rise/fall/shift. -- To reply no_ HPMarketing Corp. |

I am looking at one of each and they say "cam # matches lens #" but they say nothing of the body # match. Thank you, Bob. |
