I have one idea: Facescape-find a face with a lot of character and
shoot it in excrutiating detail, up cose. No points for beauty, lots
of points for character.

Any other ideas?

BTW, surprise, "Bruce" turned down my offer to name the next mandate
and submit a shot of his own rather than trolling/whining. We're all
shocked. As if we all didn't know...

Sounds good though no need to eliminate beautiful, any face closeup is a
challenge.

Actually I have wanted to do something like this for ages so I might
actually make the time to try this one.
I was away for the last one on holidays and I didn't get time to put the 50
on the camera at all, but then thems the breaks.
I even have a subject in mind :-)

Intersections.

Note that an intersection may be geometrical, paths of light, the
co-mingling of ideas...

That's because it was an insult. ;-)

Nope, I called your bluff, and you turned tail and ran. I defy you to
post something, anything!

sorry, Tony, once a troll, always a troll.

I have a suggestion. "Your favorite lens". A shot, taken with your
favorite lens, that actually shows why this is your favorite lens.

Another suggestion might be "accompanied by". Pick a favorite piece of
music, make a photo that the music would be an appropriate soundtrack to.

I'm in. I have a picture I took of my late aunt (the last of her generation)
at her 104th birthday party a couple of years ago. I've been waiting for a
chance to show it. ;^)

To Hell with him. He's taken up more than enough of our time already.

Well, good riddance to you, sirrah. We take the liberty of considering it an
affirmation of Bowser's command of the written word that you can so readily
recognize an insult directed at your peculiarly inarticulate self.

My wife says yes. She loves her 60mm macro lens.

Bowser, have you decided on the mandate yet? My replacement camera's turned
up and I want something to shoot at.
