Is Amazon relieble?

One day they qoute Pentax K10D for 899 usd, another day 918 usd, They
sell from less reputable companies, How does it work? Do I buy from
Amazon or what?

Those Amazon merchants are reliable because they depend on customers
feedback to stay listed on Amazon site.
You make your purchase through Amazon site, and your camera will arrive
from that merchant.
I bought one of my Canon lens this way, no problem.

Never had a problem with Amazon, and I buy a lot of stuff from them. Much
of it coming from partner stores.

I have never had a single problem with Amazon or its resellers. Not one
problem.

It depends.

There are things you buy from amazon.com, and some you buy from amazon
marketplace. If you have a URL to share, that'd help, otherwise, you
have to read the fine print. In the marketplace, you're buying from
the seller directly, and amazon is just the gathering point to help
the seller market, not terribly unlike making an ebay buy it now
transaction.

I have stopped using Amazon because of shipping problems. They use DHL
which hands the package off to USPS for delivery. I am rural and
inconvenient to deliver to. I have a mailbox that is distant from my home
and along side a busy highway. I have a PO Box for mail delivery because my
mailbox is not secure and unsuitable for use. Amazon insists on a street
address. DHL hands off to USPS. My expensive lens gets dumped on the
ground beside my mailbox because it won't fit in the mailbox. I am sitting
at home without a clue. I haven't used Amazon since.
