Hello,

for my Work I use Digital imaging, and for fun and my own pleasure I
still use MF & LF ;-)

I shoot both digital and film, and will for as long as it is possible to
do so. To me, each medium has unique qualities that expand the range of
expression available to my image capture and presentation. To eliminate
one makes about as much sense to me as a painter who after decades of oil
painting decides to use only water colors; they just don't look the same
and their options become greatly restricted.

Yikes, but what a bunch of nongs!...

shut down to flm users with no notice in spring so i had to give up all

bummer! Haven't had that happen to me yet, but one never
knows. Touch wood. Switch to B&W and do your own?

biz.....so to all you i ask ...how many are still film users and will

No biz here, so completely different motivation. But I'm sticking
with film, even in 35mm. Velvia, Astia and E100Vs give me all I
need for colour. With the rb67, there is no way it'd be cost-effective

to go digital. Maybe with 35mm it might, but I still doubt it.

I'm starting to look at B&W again as well: can't get the effect
I like with digital. A new Zeiss rf will join the stable soon,
hopefully with some Leica glass.

Starting to look at an upgrade of the 4990 for scanning
35mm. it's fine with 6x7, but a bit too fuzzy on 35mm for
my taste: wasting too much time at the sharpening stage...

For colour printing, I've given up on darkrooms. too messy,
too many variables that can go wrong. Everything
gets scanned and then printed on a hp8750. But might
change my mind for b&w: again, too much fiddling with inkjet
specialist inks to get the right B&W results. I'm told
this will change soon, I hope so. Otherwise, there are
some good deals going on epay for darkroom equipment...

of course, usual disclaimers: ymmv, imho, ime, etcetc.

MF and LF only. I've pretty much given up on 35 mm.
The gear's all crapping out or crapped out and not worth
fixin'.

It's still a bit pricey to get MF quality with digital capture,
but 645 format has met its match (more or less) with the
Canon 5D and certainly the 1Ds series.

You still get more bang-for-the buck with MF or LF film,
so long as you're not counting cost of your time.

Me three. Seems harder and harder to get 120 film processed though. Everyone local has given it up, so now I go two towns over to get it developed. I feel I get better quality from the 645 than a 30D, but it would probably be a toss-up with the 5D or 1Ds. digital is a long way from 4x5 quality, but sheet film may not be available soon.
One thing is, I take much better care of exposure and composition with film shots, since I only get 15 per roll AND it's got to be good enough to be worth the wait. If only I could have a serious discussion with my brain.

Every camera I have is unique is some way that makes using digital
difficult. Large format has tilts and swings, medium format has
better resolution (6x7) currently. My swinglens panorama uses
a cylindrical image plane. Even my 35mm is mostly used with the
ultra-wide angle 12mm to give a unique view and stitched 360's.
Even my 35mm street pix use a very unobtrusive rangefinder which
is less noticed that a SLR of either type.

All post processing is digital, however.
