It's OK. The UK has their own gun bans and yet still has gun
rampages.
When?
What gun rampage has their been since handguns were banned?

Google search: Handgun Murders United Kingdom

Those were just the first 3 return out of 2.7 MILLION. Yeh, "What
handgun rampages?"

They were not rampages.
They were mostly drug dealers killing each other.

Oh, well, that's ok then. Don't put them in the statistics, they are
just criminals...

Please explain exactly how one bans unregistered handguns.

Sentencing everyone who is convicted of having one to 30 years
imprisonment with hard labour and basic food only would lessen the
problem in a few years - of course no country would have the courage to
do this.

Wow...just when I thought that idiocy had reached it's limit...
You're not in favor of jailing criminals?

Owning a gun is not a crime.

It can be.

How are you going to pay for the thousands of prisons that would need to
be built? How are you going to pay for the cost of keeping each gun law
breaker for 30 years?
Why are you soft on gun crime?

Owning a gun is not a crime.

You're right.
What's your point?
A lot of things *can* be made into crimes.
We've made using cocaine a crime. Has it helped?

THIS IS A SIG LINE; NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!

John Edwards' campaign records showed Monday
that he paid eight hundred dollars for two
haircuts in Beverly Hills. There's no shame
in what he did. John Edwards represents the
downtrodden and the powerless in America,
and they deserve the very best.

Owning a gun is not a crime.

If it was, anyone posessing a gun could be immediately arrested. What would
that do for violent crime stats? Gang turf wars?

And how would this work, exactly?
I mean, what sort of "magic" would determine if someone posessed a
gun?
This *sounds* real good; just like saying anyone posessing cocaine
will be immediately arrested. The problems are determining who is in
posession, and in having the wherewithall to effectthe arrests.
Obviously, th US (and most countries) lack the ability to do both.

How are you going to pay for the thousands of prisons that would need to
be built? How are you going to pay for the cost of keeping each gun law
breaker for 30 years?

Why are you soft on gun crime?

Handguns are illegal in Britain. Banning handguns is good for America.

Britain is not bereft of gun crime; you know that.
Banning an item does not instantly cause that item to disappear. You
know that, too.
Laes do not prevent crime; you know that, too, but it's an iconvenient
truth.

And how this relates to digital photography...

Because after they ban guns they intend to come after users of digital
cameras.

On the ground that a few people use them to commit crimes therfore all
must be banned.

Oh yes, and knives, chains, and baseball bats! Ever seen a gang member
without them? Ban them all!
Sigh.

The left proposes law after law, each time saying, "*This* is the one
that will solve this problem."
Then, after the law is passed, and it doesn't sole the problem (laws
do not prevent crime), they propose stronger laws, again saying,
"*THESE* will solve the problem."
Because the left refuses to understand personal responsibility, they
propose more and more control of people, in a never-ending quest to
solve problems through external controls.

Yeah; my guns seem to work just fine.

So can being a leftard.

Your point?

What part of "being a leftard" didn't you understand?

Well, you don't define your terms, for instance.

Your total ignorance of the subject at hand, and your subsequent
reliance on name-calling for instance.

Your mislabeling, for instance.

Do you need more? I can take more than 20 seconds next time and do a
more in depth analysis of your stupidity, if you'd really like, but most
people feel rather uncomfortable having their shortcomings aired on a
public forum that way.

Indeed. The only problem I can see..is the rising cost of gun powder. I
used to buy a keg of Unique for $15, now its up to $80
something..damnit! Plus that damned hasmat fee!!!!
