Sunpak PZ42X does not work with Canon SX10 IS

However, in TTL mode the flash does not fire properly. It actually does produce the tiny flash - so weak that it is rather a blink, not a flash. You have to look directly at the bulb to notice this tiny blink - it is weaker than a Christmas tree light and cannot even qualify as a flash. Even though the flash is barely firing, are the images otherwise properly exposed or are they underexposed? If underexposed, then perhaps the flash thinks that it isn't needed. What shooting mode are you using for the SX10? P, Tv, Av, M, Auto or any of the SCN or Image Zone settings? |
