The part about the "USA Warranty" certainly is a typo, or a bold-faced lie.
"Warranty cards" don't establish warranty- only bills of original sale to
original owner- CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Some companies allow for the transfer of warranty. I'm not sure if
Fuji does, but why would anyone sell an S2 for 850.00?

Broken camera, stolen camera, no camera(scam), or someone in desperate need
of cash.
But, as one guy told me, a camera like the S2 could easily be taken to a
camera store and bring more than what this person is asking.
So, if the deal seems to be too good to be
true,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Gee Wizz Guys

What a bunch of Worry Warts

I bought the camera cheap, and sold it cheap. It was a USA model and had
cards that you send to FUJI in the USA for your warranty, the camera works,
was not stolen and I did not need the money to score some crack! I come
across good deals some times and my price will reflect that.

Is it hard to beleive that there are some people selling on the internet
that don't want to bleed you?

The Buyer lived about 150 miles from me and drove to pick up the camera and
is utterly in heaven with it.

Insteasd of sitting there making up reasons for it to be too good to be
true, do what he did and a number of other people did. Email me with
questions about it, satisfy your curiosity, instead of taking the easy road
and telling a sour grapes story.

Next time I buy a camera for $200.00 or $400.00 or so should I sell it
for $1800.00 just so everyone can feel better? Or would buyers prefer to
save a few buck?

Sorry to see you guys upset over a good deal.

If you want I can get the buyer to send me back a copy of the warranty card
and fax you a copy of it with Fuji's USA address showing that it has a USA
WARRANTY and was imported into the USA legally. In other words it is not
Gray Market.

Next time get your facts straight before you try to impune any offer I make

Caveat Emptor in this case means buyer beware of the misinformation thrown
out there by ill-informed third parties that have no material interest in
the transaction.

Soon I wil be getting a 400mm f2.8 nikor manual focus tele in excellent
shape for sale and it also will be advertised hundreds below the current
market value. Please ignore that posting as I'm sure you'll have issues
with that also

I didn't post what I did about this deal when the person asked an opinion
about an S2 for sale for $850.00 to imply that YOU or your camera were bad.
It was simply in reply to this person asking if it was one of those to good
to be true deals. Which there is a ton of that sort of thing on the
internet. There are a lot of scammers on Ebay and other sources that offer
deals similar to yours and then get the person's money and never supply the
product.
I just think that a person buying online should be aware of all the
possibilities. And in the case of the person who drove 150 miles and bought
it, that is great. It means in your case you are a straight up guy.
Especially since that person is happy with it.
It's just too bad there are not more honest sellers out there.
Good luck on your lense that your selling. If you run across any Canon EF
lenses at a good price, drop me an email. I am looking for a couple for my
new Canon 10D (which about cleaned me out financially................my
"toy" money).

Next time, why not get YOUR facts straight.

The warranty cards have no bearing on warranty service. They are a
marketing tool, nothing more. When a FUJI requires service, one must
present evidence of two things- 1- being original purchaser; 2- having dated
sales invoice establishing start of warranty ("in service") period. Just
try to get a cam serviced with a flippin' story of "warranty cards" and see
how many giggles from the service center you receive.

Why the hell would your sending me warranty cards add any validity to your
dubious postings. Hint- it doesn't and you aren't for real. Quite obvious,
really.

Nice try, with the gray market "red herring", but you either completely
missed the point or are trying to avoid it.

And, since you still don't get it- this is straight from Fuji's website
regarding warranty service:

"...dated proof of purchase if you are requesting that the repair be made
under warranty. Failure to provide warranty substantiation will result in
appropriate repair charges or delay in handling repair requests. "

Case closed.
