I suppose someone needs to test the water on this one, so here goes.
Bring a pinch of salt and pull over a chair.

A very pleasant shot indeed. Nice composition, still some detail in
the fisherpeeps. I like it.

Aw, c'mon, you're not trying hard enough! There isn't a photo I take
that can't stand some improvement. In some cases, quite a bit...

But thanks for the comments, and feel welcome to continue. Don't pull
any punches, we're all big boys around here.

I agree Al. The lens flare in your culture shot is distracting. vm

I had blown right past this when it was first posted, sorry about
that.

Good lord! I hope that isn't a Photoshop plugin. But yeah, me and my
cheap lenses, when will I learn?

The frightening part is, you can see it's before the sun got above
the horizon. I think me and the fisherfolk would be ash if we'd waited
around too long...

;-)

I think I'd have concentrated on the horse & buggy with this one. The day
was just too dull for the bigger picture to work imho. It's nearly moody,
but not quite.

Yeah, I didn't manage to get a shot I actually liked. I was looking for
something where you could see the two different cultures around here in
juxtaposition, but the horse'n buggy crowd just weren't co-operating that day.
Then I left for vacation.

I was going for the school (with separate boys' and girls' entrances) and the
teacher's "ride", but the school is a bit less than obvious. They like it that
way :-)
