Default wide angle lens for canon rebel eos?

what kind of wide angle lens(from canon or other company) will on an
EOS rebel?

i need something from 20mm to 28 mm. will FD lens fit on an EOS?

There is an adapter for FD lenses you might locate on eBay. Another
alternative is Sigma's 10 - 20 lens. It works on a full 35mm frame.

Like all ultra wide lenses, the distortion needs correction with
software so if you don't have a scanner and computer, you probably
ought to limit your range to about 24mm. At that size there are a few
prime lenses around that might suit you.

Nope. The 10-20 is for crop-sensor digitals. The 12-24 is for full-35mm.
Both lenses are quite good.

For genuine canon's I'd probably look at the 17-40/4L or the 16-35/2.8L.

Unless for your subject the distortion is immaterial, or is something that
you are seeking.
