And the cupboards and table and chairs out of brick? Unfortunately for the "save the trees" wackos, even brick & adobe houses need timber for frames, beams, doors, etc. I never understand why they can't grasp a simple fact: Trees as a resource are not exhaustible, they GROW BACK. Old growth trees should be cut down at will, the little ones will simply keep growing and replace them, just as they've always done. This is just another radical left wing initiative intended to cripple commerce and radically restrict life styles. (Naturally, their rich bozo contributors can have all the wood they want, they'll be the only ones who can afford it!) The Spotted Owl? Doing fine, one pair was even found nesting in a sign in a parking lot in Washington. A distortion of the ESA, used as a canard by the wacked out left to destroy the logging industry. Unfortunately, your post indicates a complete disconnect from the long-term reality of the current subject - which is completely off topic for this forum - otherwise I'd be happy to help you fill in your blanks so you wouldn't come off sounding like Bush Jr. Jr. -- jer email reply - I am not a 'ten' |

This is just another radical left wing initiative intended to cripple commerce and radically restrict life styles. (Naturally, their rich bozo contributors can have all the wood they want, they'll be the only ones who can afford it!) At will? That, to be polite, is pure unadulterated bull****. Even the least responsible logging companies no longer want to be able to effectively "stirp mine" forests, as once was done. Responsible logging is a complex endeavor, not something done by some dingbat who thinks "at will" is a reasonable way to harvest any crop. As another point, one of the problems in the world now is the "at will" harvesting of rain forests around the world. It will eventually upset the ecological balance of much of the world, while totally messing up the land where the deforestation occurs. A distortion of the ESA, used as a canard by the wacked out left to destroy the logging industry. Oh bull****. Learn something about forestry, among other things you know zip about, and then come back, say in 20 years. Charlie Self "It is when power is wedded to chronic fear that it becomes formidable."
