Yes, I'd read Consumer Reports even if they don't seem to place the value that I do on having an optical viewfinder. Opinions from others are also valuable especially when they remind you of features that posters think necessary. A relatively rapid and uncomplicated control menu is also good to have, IMO. It's also extremely important just to pick up the camera and use it a little. When I bought my Canon DSLR I absolutely wanted a hands-on experience before making my purchase. But with the pocket camera I'm currently looking for the main specification I check is size. |
