More like they aren't doing any yet.. Do you have an in at Kodak that told you they have no plans for anything other than sell phone sensors? -- Stacey |

If they bought a company to get into CMOS sensors,(as did Dalsa) it's likely they are in it to cater to the high-volume, mass market products like cell phones or cheap digitals and not higher end products. Their statement that they "might get back into DSLRs later" is a loser's proposition, if they mean it. -Rich |

Saw this on another forum, kodak is getting into cmos sensor development with IBM? http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...00688a803695aa Old news, as is the news that Kodak bought National Semi's sensor capability. Kodak is now selling some CMOS sensors bigger than those from the Motorola collaboration, notably 3.1MP and 5MP sensors with 2.7 um sensel pitch. No indication that they are heading for bigger CMOS sensors. See http://www.kodak.com/global/en/digital/ccd/products/cmos/cmosMain.jhtml. -- -Stephen H.
