Nikon Coolpix 950

Hi to all.
I have a Nikon Coolpix 950 that seems to have a problem with it's focusing
mechanism.
On initialization, there is a coarse clicking sound which gets a little
higher pitched after about 3 seconds. Basically, it seems like something is
loose in the camera and is preventing it from focusing properly. There is
also an "Err" message displayed on the status LCD and the LCD viewfinder. I
was wondering if anyone knows exactly what is the matter with the unit, the
potential costs involved in repairing the unit, if it is a better deal to
sell it on some forum like the Newsgroups or and online auction house, or
purchase another one as scrap and fix this one.
