The "cash for clunkers" program is my prime
example.....Please explain to me why this isn't socialism.

Please explain how this could possibly even in the most twisted mind
have anything to do with either the iterim phase between capitalism and
communism or the ownership and control of production and distribution of
goods.

Dead simple to explain. Bill feels that any government-sponsored
program that benefits anyone but him is socialistic. He also feels
that any government-sponsored program that does benefit him is a basic
right that he is due.

Bill feels that taxes are the government's personal plan to destroy
him and all he's worked for. However, he wants to enjoy all of the
benefits that the tax dollars provide for the citizenry.

Bill feels that the only valid laws are the ones that he agrees with
and that don't inconvenience him in any way. The rest of the laws are
all unconstitutional.

Life is simple for Bill.

And that's what you get out of my ire that the government is giving people
who are driving gas guzzlers $4500 of my tax money to buy themselves new
cars with? You certainly have a distorted sense of justice.

"Distorted sense of justice".

That coming from somebody who wants to murder people by the thousands
in order to force his vision upon the world.
