Default How much of Canon and Nikon still made in Japan?

Remember when (Contax I think) production was
shifted from Germany to Portugal and then Brazil?
There were people saying quality dropped. But
it was never clear cut. Odd, considering things
like lenses can easily be tested. I'm wondering
how much of the cameras/lenses are still made
in Japan? I know the optical glass supposedly is,
but apart from that, is there anything to prevent
the Japanese from putting a "made in Japan" mark
on the camera when in fact it was only partially
assembled there?

My Canon 300D was made in Taiwan and says so on the bottom of the camera.
Some 300Ds were made in Japan.

Don't know about Canon and Nikon, my Pentax *ist DS body was assembled in
Philippines, the 18-55 zoom in Vietnam.
