Hi everybody,

Back in October of 2008 I was asked to submit some photos for the local
realtor's association website and got paid for them. Finally after almost a
year and a half, the website finally goes live. I'm happy with it. 3 of
the photos were part of previous shootins. (a version of the domes, the
horses, and the York County farm). Have a look. I do sell one every now
and then. grin

If you're going to work for them, you'd better start capitalizing
"Realtors". They're picky about that. They also like it written
"REALTORS®".

I recognised some of those shots. Well done.

I know. Excuse me, REALTORS Association. Actually, they no longer need me.
All the REALTORS have their own cameras and most don't want to pay anyone to
take photos for them anymore. I did a good job too, for the 21 years I did
it. :-(

If they want Tim to go into the tank like that for them, they've got to show
him at least twice the $$$.

Hey, Troy, where were you this month? I usually look forward to your work,
especially the macro stuff. (Hmmm... I guess your macro lens wouldn't meet the
rather constraining mandate. Oh, well...)

G'day Rob,

I do have lenses other than my macro ones

In fact, just by coincidence I had received the Canon 35mm f/1.4L
right around the time this mandate was announced. I was really
looking forward to participating. Unfortunately the lens is
front-focusing quite a lot so I have to send it back for
calibration. Really disappointed. 35mm lens on my crop 40D
would have neatly fit the mandate. Canon L series lens, costs
over $1000, and virtually unusable because it's not correctly
calibrated. Was brand new too. Beautiful lens apart from that
:-/

Still no excuse for me not participating, since I could have used
my 17-55 at around the same focal length. Think I was just left
with a bitter taste in my mouth.

I'll be back for this month hopefully. Never far away

LOL I'm happy with what they paid. 30 x 13 that they selected. I wish
there was more work there though. I used to do the MLS until the REALTORS
(see? all caps) most all decided if they take their own photos, they won't
have to pay anyone. ...This economy sucks! Oh well, I guess I have to try
and sell stock. I'm sooooo lazy...
