ANOTHER nail in mirrored camera coffin-from Nikon!
"Alan LeHun" wrote in message ... In article , says... You may reference the tests done for CHDK's motion-detection option where the camera will detect the stepped-leader lightning flash (the pre-strike ionization discharge) so as to be able to open the shutter in time to capture the actual lightning bolt. These cameras' shutter-response times are literally faster than lightning -- 100% proved. Hardly. The stepped leader phase of a lightning bolt (which is what you claim is being detected) can last a whole second or more. You don't need to be lightning fast to act upon detection of those. -- Alan LeHun You don't need any sort of detection system, I have taken shots of lightning by simply opening the shutter and point the camera in the right direction. |

Yo! Pretend-photographer-troll! This wasn't about you keeping your imaginary shutter open for several minutes trying to capture a lightning strike, as ALL lightning photography has always been done with D/SLR gear. It was all about disproving the DSLR-Troll's misinformation about EVF lag in EVF cameras. The P&S CHDK cameras' 59fps EVF refresh rate and 23ms or less shutter speed clearly disproving all of your DSLR-Trolls crap. Catch up! Can't you ****ing trolls ever do more than post misinformed and ignorant red-herring distractions from reality and facts? Nope! That's why you are trolls. |
