I can't resist a critique though... my first reaction... the first into paragraph could be dropped completely. Anyways I learned and enjoyed the article. "to understand what factors can be used to control saturation ... A polarizer filter is another way that can be used" Hmm, it never occurred to me to use a polarizer to increase saturation of warm colors. Does it work on warm colors? I observed some interesting lighting yesterday evening. Within the half hour before sunset, warm colored sunlight was filtering through leaves to where I sat in the garden in a deep forested shade. The dots of sun bounced off water onto a wall dancing with the waves. I put my hand out to stir the water and the sunbeams hit my skin casting a bright warm glow on the wall around my arm. Whoah! Thanks for the great article. -- Paul Furman http://www.edgehill.net/1 san francisco native plants |
